Lindsey Opso for Mango fashion awards

I had the change to prep my dear friend Lindsey Opso of sight management for an event by mango.

Early on we decided to give her a very classy look. She was wearing a beautiful gucci dress and burgundy valentino shoes. So I decided to give her a smoldering eye with a berry stained lip.

Her skin was almost perfect to begin with but because of her good use of sunscreen her face was a little lighter than her chest. So I unified her face with her neck with becca luminous skin colour. Some light concealing and highlighting and then her skin was almost done.
For her eyes I applied becca jewel dust in nyx and massive amounts of mascara. On her lips I first applied an orange lipliner and then added a berry toned lipstick over it.
Some powder to tone down some shine and she was ready to rumble.

Location shooting Ibiza

I just got back from a week of shooting an advertising campaign in Ibiza. We were spoiled rottenly with the locations. The first few days we shot around Ibiza town and the harbor but the rest of the week we just shot at the most amazing locations ever. I will upload some pictures and please check out the video of the house we shot at. I only shot the main floor and the small bedroom but the house was just stunning. The video really doesn´t do it any justice.

The joys of location shooting: the results

In november I posted something about a shoot I did with Luciano Insua in this crazy gorgeous house just outside Barcelona. Although the pictures ran a while ago I only just recently received them in high resolution.
Unfortunately the house isn´t featured in the series but I think they came out well non the less.

I love invisible zinc

I have been booked on a job in Ibiza next week and when I got the shooting schedule I saw we are shooting on a boat and at the beach for 2 whole days. So I ran out and got myself some invible zinc spf 30+.

I absolutely love this sunscreen. It is made out of zinc oxide, a mineral that sits on the skins surface and block UVA, UVB and ultraviolet rays. Also the way that sunscreen is tested in Australia makes a huge differance in how much it protects the skin.

In Australia they place a thick layer of the product on to the skin prior to testing it under a UV light while in other countries the products is rubbed in and then tested. So basically you get a higher grade spf with any Australian made spf. Also the zinc helps balance and even out my oily skin.

Now before I go on any further I do need to tell you that zinc will make you look very pale under flash so I personally wouldn't recommend it for photography but for personal use it is amazing. Also the white cast some zinc sunscreens leave you with is almost non existant with invisible zinc.

I can go further into all the differant types of sunscreens out there but I am only a makeup artist and not a chemist so whatever kind of product you end up using please protect yourself from the sun with at least a SPF20 (anything less doesn't protect the skin). We all want to tan but nobody wants the wrinkles to show for it.

CDLC Pacha Flower Power

Last week I had the chance to prep several Spanish celebs for the flower power event in Barcelona. Among many others I got to do Alejandra Rojas her makeup for this ocassion. It has been awhile since I have seen skin in that good a condition and unsurprisingly she takes amazingly good care of hers. That's why she isn't wearing ANY type of foundation. I prepped her skin with caudalie enzymatic peel mask and gave her a light application of foundation primer, concealer and some BECCA beachtint in grapefruit. On her eyes I applied BECCA eyetint and a very light coat of illuminating skin perfector. Some mascara and a light dusting of some shu uemura face powder and she was good to go.

Fiasco Magazine

During 080 fashion week I had the chance to shoot with all these amazing girls who were in town for the shows. Although a little hectic to shoot all of them with their busy schedules, I was really lucky to have had these gorgeous ladies as my subjects.
